Definition
An unlock and emissions calendar is a table of future supply: how much, when, who receives it, and whether it can be sold immediately. The agent compiles public schedules. You decide which rows are risk.
Who it is for
Traders who hold through scheduled supply, or who fade unlocks and need the date before the narrative.
Job to be done
Build a dated calendar of supply events for assets you hold or watch, with the recipient and the source on each row.
Human gate. You mark each near-dated row as ignore, hedge-review, or position-review. The agent does not choose the hedge.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- The assets you hold and the ones on the watchlist
- Your horizon, in days
- Links you already trust for that project’s schedule
- What "sellable" means for you: unlocked, vested but claimable, or already in a market wallet
Outputs
- A calendar sorted by date inside the horizon
- Recipient and whether the tokens look sellable
- Source and the date you observed it
- Rows you refused because the schedule was only a rumor
Step-by-step workflow
- 01List the booksOnly assets you hold or would still care about inside the horizon. A global unlock feed is how the calendar becomes unread.
- 02Pull issuer schedules firstQuote the date, the amount, and the recipient from the issuer. Note the URL.
- 03Check the contract when there is oneIf a vesting contract is public, record whether the next release matches the post. If you cannot read it, the row stays unverified.
- 04Mark sellable or notA locked allocation that cannot move is not the same event as tokens landing in a wallet that already sells.
- 05Drop rumorsA date that exists only in a reply goes on the rumor list with the day you saw it. It does not enter the calendar.
- 06Human gateRead only the rows inside your horizon. Write ignore or review on each. Do not ask the agent what to short.
Suggested tool types
These are categories of tools, not product picks. Crypto Agent Desk does not certify vendors and does not run an affiliate program.
| Type | Why it is here |
|---|---|
| Project docs, forum, or token page | The schedule the issuer actually published. |
| On-chain vesting contract reader | Checks that a cliff or stream matches the blog post. |
| Chat model | Normalizes messy posts into one table without inventing dates. |
| Spreadsheet | The calendar has to live somewhere you will reopen. |
Risks and failure modes
Blog date vs contract date
Teams slip cliffs and forget to edit the post. If the contract and the post disagree, keep both.
Percent without a base
"2% unlock" is useless until you know 2% of which supply, and whether that supply is the float.
Recipient folklore
A model will label a contract "team" because a thread did. Label it "unknown recipient" until you can point at the term.
Operator notes
Supply events get narrated after the candle. The calendar exists so the date is boring.
Row shape
Date, asset, amount, unit (tokens and percent of the supply you named), recipient, sellable or not, source, verified or not.
If amount is missing, the row is a placeholder, not an event. Placeholders do not get a color.
Prompt you can paste
Build an unlock and emissions calendar for these assets: ASSET_LIST.
Horizon: HORIZON_DAYS days from DATE.
Use issuer documents first. If a vesting contract is public, say whether it matches the post.
Columns: date, amount, supply base, recipient, sellable (yes/no/unknown), source URL, observed date.
If a date is only a rumor, put it in a rumor list. Do not estimate missing dates.
Do not recommend a hedge or a side.
Done when
Every asset you hold has either a verified next event inside the horizon or an explicit “nothing public scheduled” line.
FAQ
Should every unlock be treated as sell pressure?
No. Recipients, lockups, and whether the market already traded the date all matter. The calendar’s job is to stop you from being surprised, not to invent a direction.
How far out is useful?
Match your horizon. A day trader does not need a four-year emissions chart on the same page as this week’s cliff.
What if the project has no schedule?
That is a finding. Write "no public schedule found" and the date you looked. Do not let the agent estimate one.
