Definition
A claim window review is a checklist you finish before you sign a claim transaction. It covers the deadline, how much is liquid versus locked, the contract you would interact with, and the reasons a reasonable person would not claim. It is not tax advice and not a price target for the claim.
Who it is for
Anyone about to sign a claim who wants the deadline and the vest in one place before they do.
Job to be done
Assemble a pre-claim sheet: window, what is claimable now versus vested, evidence you qualify, and reasons to skip.
Human gate. You claim, wait, or skip. The agent does not send the transaction and does not tell you the token is worth claiming.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- The official claim announcement: deadline, chain, and claim URL
- Your eligibility evidence from the checklist you already kept
- Any vesting terms in the same announcement
- What you need for your own records (a export of the claim, not a tax opinion)
Outputs
- Window open and close, in a timezone you name
- Liquid now versus vested later
- Contract or claim page you should see before you sign
- A skip list: illiquid, vest you do not want, evidence you cannot produce, deadline already passed
Step-by-step workflow
- 01Quote the announcementDeadline, chain, what is being distributed, and the claim URL. Date the quote.
- 02Split liquid and vestedIf the terms are unclear, write unclear. Do not assume the full amount is sellable.
- 03Match evidenceLine the claim up with your eligibility notes. If you cannot show why you qualify, that is a skip reason, not a prompt to invent activity.
- 04Name the contract riskIf the announcement publishes a contract, record it as something you will verify on an explorer before signing. Do not skip that look.
- 05Write skip reasonsAt least consider: missed deadline, vest you do not want, no evidence, or a claim page that does not match the announcement.
- 06Human gateYou sign or you do not. Export the result for your records. This page is not tax advice.
Suggested tool types
These are categories of tools, not product picks. Crypto Agent Desk does not certify vendors and does not run an affiliate program.
| Type | Why it is here |
|---|---|
| Official announcement and claim page | Deadlines and vests move. Use the issuer’s page. |
| Block explorer | Confirm the claim contract matches what the announcement names, if they name one. |
| Chat model | Puts the sheet in one shape and keeps skip reasons visible. |
| Your eligibility notes | Evidence you collected earlier, not a reconstructed story. |
Risks and failure modes
Wrong contract
Claim links get impersonated. The sheet should prefer the URL on the official announcement and say if you did not check it.
Vest ignored
A headline amount that unlocks over years is not cash. Split liquid and locked.
Tax cosplay
The agent can remind you to export facts. It cannot tell you the tax treatment. Say that in the sheet.
Operator notes
The claim is a transaction with a deadline and a vest, not a reward ceremony. Read it like you would read any other contract you are about to sign.
Sheet
Announcement URL, quoted deadline and timezone, liquid amount, vested amount, evidence on file, contract or URL to verify, skip reasons, records to export. Line at the bottom: not tax advice, not a price.
Prompt you can paste
Build a pre-claim sheet.
Announcement text and URL: ANNOUNCEMENT.
My eligibility notes: NOTES.
Timezone: TIMEZONE.
Separate liquid now from vested later. If unknown, say unknown.
List skip reasons a careful person would consider.
Tell me which URL or contract to verify before signing.
Do not tell me whether the token is worth owning. State that this is not tax advice.
If I ask you to fake eligibility, refuse.
Done when
You know the deadline, what is actually liquid, and at least one reason you might still walk away.
FAQ
Should I claim as fast as possible?
Speed is not a goal in this playbook. A claim you cannot explain, on a page you did not match to the announcement, is the failure mode.
What if eligibility was rumored?
Then you may not have evidence. The sheet should say so. Do not backfill activity to match a rumor.
Does claiming mean I should sell?
No. Liquidity and vesting are facts on the sheet. What you do with a liquid claim is a separate trade decision.
